Description
Day vitamin K1 5 GFP
Composition:
The spherical particles contain vitamin K1 oil dissolved in droplets of 1-2um embedded in a matrix of gum Arabic (E414) and DL-a-tocopherol (E307)
Specification:
Assay: min. 5% vitamin K1
Loss on drying: max. 5% (4 hours at 105ºC)
Particle-size distribution:
100% smaller than 425um (40 mesh USP)
Mean particle size: 150um (100 mesh USP)
Stabilization/Stability:
When the product is stored in the unopened original container at room temperature (about 25ºC), the product is stable for at least 36 months.
Applications:
Pharmaceutical preparations:
For the manufacture of solid products with vitamin K1 as the sole active ingredient, as well as multivitamin and mineral preparations, e.g. tablets, sugar-coated tablets, instant drink granules, effervescent tablets, hard gelatin capsules.
Food products:
For the fortification of baby food and children's food, dietetic foods, instant drink powders, dried milk, and forr vitamin mixtures for the food industry. Dry vitamin K1 5% can also be used in multivitamin fruit juices and confectionery, e.g. multivitamin sweets. Very suitable for the manufacture of hypoallergenic foods, as the product contains no protein.
